AAMET CPD & Mentoring
EFT CPD-Mentoring Meetings
Jacqui co-ordinates regular meetings in South Molton,
North Devon for a lively group of EFT Practitioners from across Devon, Somerset and Cornwall. Any EFT
Practitioner is welcome to join our meetings and can gain AAMET-approved group mentoring
credits.
Meetings take place on a Sunday or Thursday to enable us to take advantage of a
wonderful local carvery for lunch. We start at 10am with a general update, sharing session,
specific EFT topic or guest speaker, break for lunch then continue until 4pm with paired or group
tapping / mentoring / case discussion / EFT DVD, etc as suits the needs of those
participating. It is intended for these meeting days to grow out of the needs and interests of
those attending and to be held 3 or 4 times a year to enable participants to meet the AAMET CPD and
Mentoring Requirements (for group mentoring a minimum of 12 hours per year, attendance certificate
provided for this purpose).
Usual Meeting Cost: £19 to include carvery lunch and coffee/teas
Cost when featuring a paid guest speaker: £29 to include

This mentoring session is not to be missed if you want to develop your practice in a professional medical evidence-based way and you long to see EFT accepted in the world of evidence-based medicine. Kinesiologist, EFT Practitioner and Energy Psychology (EP) researcher, Marcia Fletcher will lead the session by introducing us to the techniques and processes required for conducting a piece of research into EP. We will then brainstorm ideas and start to design a protocol for conducting a piece of research into EP to which we all can contribute.
Marcia is just completing several years' work as Honorary Research Fellow at Exeter University Dept of Complementary Medicine where she has been compiling a systematic review of Energy Psychology research. She will talk about
- her systematic review,
- what was learned about the research methods used by the primary researchers,
- the key components of the review process
- how information gained will serve us as EFT practitioners to help us design solid research which can be a base for the acceptance of EFT
We will brainstorm- ideas for new primary research
- draft questionnaire design
- what to include/exclude
- data collection and time frame
- ethics and permissions
